🌟 Part-Time Remote Opportunity: Data Operations Specialist 🌍
Are you a data science enthusiast with a knack for organizing and connecting with people? Do you dream of using your skills to shape cutting-edge voice AI technology? If this sounds like you, we’ve got the perfect gig!
Who We Are
We’re a dynamic voice AI startup on a mission to revolutionize clinical speech recognition for hospitals across the developing world. Our technology thrives on diverse languages and dialects, and we need you to help us build the datasets that make our models smarter, faster, and more inclusive.
Intron Health provides clinical speech recognition for 240 accents spoken in developing countries starting with Africa, providing up to 7x documentation speed up, and saving overworked doctors 3hrs per day so they can focus better on patient care. We integrate this speech-to-text technology into our Electronic Medical Record (EMR), further cutting over 60% of administrative paperwork, improving operational efficiency, and enabling real-time disease surveillance.
What You’ll Do
As a Data Operations Specialist, your role is central to ensuring our voice AI understands and speaks like a native. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
- Recruit Language Heroes: Scout and onboard native speakers from South Africa, Ghana, Arabic-speaking countries in Africa, and Francophone Africa (Senegal, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire) to help us review and quality-check translations and transcriptions.
- Quality Check Champion: Ensure text and speech data meet our high standards by coordinating quality assurance efforts with contributors.
- Community Builder: Engage with local data science and ML communities to spark interest and recruit contributors.
- Organizational Wizard: Manage contributor pipelines, timelines, and deliverables like a pro.
- Knowledge Sharer: Leverage your insights into dataset creation (maybe even from that paper you helped publish!) to keep our projects on track.
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone with:
- 🌐 A strong network in your local data science or machine learning community.
- 🎓 Early career experience or a deep interest in machine learning, datasets, and voice AI.
- 💼 Experience in recruiting, organizing events or teams, and managing projects.
- 📚 Bonus Points: A health or medical background – we’re building tech that saves lives!
- ✨ Extra Bonus: Experience with dataset creation or quality-checking for published research.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- 🚀 Impact: Your work will directly shape groundbreaking technology and give a voice to underrepresented languages in AI.
- 🌍 Flexibility: This is a remote, part-time position – work from wherever you feel most inspired.
- 💡 Growth: Be part of a fast-moving startup with opportunities to learn, grow, and build connections in the AI and healthcare fields.
Ready to Join Us?
